The increase in the number of enemy shelling in the south is due to the occupiers’ fears of the advance of Ukrainian troops.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the speaker of the Defense Forces of southern Ukraine Natalia Gumenyuk on the air of the telethon.
According to her, the night of October 20 in the southern region was alarming. Russian troops shelled populated areas with guided bombs.
“The enemy continues to use them quite massively. If during daylight hours the Russians used 15 guided aerial bombs, then at night they increased this count to 25, that is, 10 aerial bombs were still sent. Moreover, the concentration that the enemy allows himself is obviously terrorist,” she said Gumenyuk.
She said that during the day the Russians released 10 KAB in Berislav and 4 KAB at night in the village of Zmievka. According to the speaker, this indicates that the enemy is deliberately destroying civilian infrastructure and striking civilians.
Gumenyuk expressed the opinion that the intensification of shelling in the south is due to the invaders’ fear of advancing the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
“They justify this with the hysteria that they have promoted in the information space; they are very afraid of the advance of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in this direction. They have long been burned by the Zaporozhye direction, the eastern direction, now they have hysteria in the Kherson direction,” the speaker noted.
The situation in the Kherson region
After the liberation of the right bank of the Kherson region, part of the region is under constant shelling by the invaders. The Russians attack the civilian population with heavy weapons, artillery and aircraft.
So, yesterday there were explosions in Kherson . After which it became known that Russian troops were shelling the city from the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region. The center and the Korabelny district were under attack.
Three people were injured as a result of the shelling of Kherson .
The Russian invaders also attacked the village of Stanislav, Kherson region. One person was injured as a result of the shelling.
