This Black Sheep Pie Was Picked as the Best Pizza in Minnesota

If you go to Black Sheep, get the Persian Beef.

What’s your favorite pizza in Minnesota? Not pizza joint, your favorite specific pizza? According to Taste of Home, the best can be found at the Twin Cities’ Black Sheep Coal Fired Pizza.

Taste of Home writer Kelsey Mulvey picked out the best pizza in every U.S. state, and felt that Black Sheep produces the best individual pie in Minnesota.

Which one from Black Sheep’s extensive menu? The Persian beef, tomato, feta and harissa pizza.

What happened to Minnesota’s Leslie Fhima on the Golden

Bachelor finale?

“With 12 mouth-watering options, there’s no way you can go wrong at Black Sheep Pizza! But if you have to choose just one option, try the exotic Persian beef, tomato, feta and harissa,” Mulvey writes.

The pizza is the joint priciest one on the Black Sheep menu, with a 12-inch setting you back $18.75 and a 16-inch $34.25.

Black Sheep opened its first location in Minneapolis‘ North Loop in 2008. The brainchild of husband-and-wife due Jordan Smith and Colleen Doran, it has a second location in the Eat Street neighborhood.

Despite Taste of Home’s praise for Black Sheep, its report is a little out of date given it identifies Black Sheep’s St. Paul location as the place to get the Persian beef pizza. This location closed its doors in May 2022.
